Introducing “The Loge Loge”

The view from the Loge Loge, section AA, downstage left side, in the Paramount Theater, Boston, MA (owned and operated by Emerson College)

The Loge Loge that launched Loges on Loges is section AA, (downstage left side) in the Emerson College Paramount Theater in Boston. One of the Loges (Peter) graduated from Emerson College, his donation led to this ridiculous inside joke to himself. This review is, unsurprisingly, biased.

These are great seats, in a great theater, at a great college.

The Paramount Theater opened as a movie house in 1932 and closed in 1972. Emerson College purchased the building in 2005, and opened the renovated theater to the public in 2009. The Loge Loge offers clear views of the stage, and is also a terrific location from which to admire the beautiful art deco style renovation of the space.

The whole idea of a Loge donating to his alma mater to name a loge, then convincing his father to start a website devoted to loge reviews, making the first review by Loge and Loge on “Loges on Loges” is worth the price of Loge Loge seats.
